The pigsty at no 15

The house was built as a pigsty. I felt immediately at home.
The dimensions do remind me of a ‘longere’ so it is long and small. But as it is 30m in length, there is plenty of space inside. A bit much for two people normally, so plenty of space for visiting children, grandchildren and friends.
At the front the old pig pens are still partially in place, and there are still a lot of authentic details inside (beautiful wooden doors, stone walls, and a lot of the roof beams are visible.
In the photo of the pig pen gate, you can still see the oak of the neighbors that did not survive a fire.

We are at the edge of the hamlet, suburbia so to speak. With a big field that we are slowly converting into a garden. Last year 13 trees planted (most of them will grow very big, so I need to get very old to see them full grown).
For this year a bit more productive trees are in the planning. Like chestnut and walnut.
